Large Antique Woven Gathering Basket

A very beautiful, very old hand woven gathering basket with two handles. Most likely early 20th century woven splint basket with bent wood handles. The carved handles are actually woven in to the body of the basket. It has an interesting double banded bent wood rim with criss-cross double lashing wrapped around it.

One small break at the top, as seen in photos. There has also been breakage over the years where there seems to be gaps. In wonderful condition for it's age. Though, still semi-fragile.
